Fly Reels
If you want to be able to rely 100% on your fly reel!
A fly reel isn't just a storage device for unused fly line, as some claim. It should be as light as possible, yet robust. It should have extremely tight tolerances to prevent jamming. And, with the exception of click-and-pawl reels, it must have a continuously and finely adjustable drag that engages smoothly at every setting. Only with such a reel can you fish the thinnest tippet. For larger fish and in saltwater, you also need high drag power, which truly not all fly reels offer. Only a thoroughly constructed, high-quality drag system can withstand high continuous stress. If you also like the design, then everything is perfect. You'll find exactly these kinds of reels at Alpine Angler.
