The Triangle Taper fly lines of renowned line maker ROYAL WULFF are our favorite flylines for trout & grayling fishing. It's unique, patented triangle shaped head design gives these lines superb roll/switch casting abilitites. The AMBUSH lines give you now all opportunities to persue any kind of fish - from trout, seatrout to pike or salmon and steelhead.
The AMBUSH flyline was designed to deliver outstanding rollcasting performance from single-handed and switch/double handed rods.
The short, heavy Ambush Shooting head floating loads quickly and make a compact D-Loop, eliminating the need for a long backcast. Since the 2 feet (60cm) back taper of the yellow head is colored blue, the Hi-Viz two-tone color helps you spot the end of the head.
Originally designed for roll casting in close quarters, the short 20'-26.5' heads are ideal for quick-loading of any flyrod. The heads can be combined with all sorts or poly leaders from swimming to heavy sinking and can be cast Skagit and Scandi style. Combined with a slick thin diameter shooting line these heads shoot like rifle making long distance casts easy.
No matter if you are looking for a shooting head to cast large or heavy flies on a single hand rod or a great allround head for any Switch or Spey rod, the floating Ambush shooting heads are our first choice.
The Ambush Shooting Heads are now also available in lighter weights from 215 grains, all featuring welded loops on both ends, making leader changes, head change and the combination of the shooting head with all sorts of shooting lines easy. The Tri-D Line ID on the heads tip gives you the information of the line type, size and head weight.
