Sure there are cheaper Tippet Rings than the ones of Stenzel, but poor rings have crucial disadvantages like a weldseam, sharp edges or a low test strength. That's why we offer you high quality leader rings (Pitzenbauer rings) only, available in 3 sizes without any flaws, plus the rings are coated stealthy black.
These seamless tippet rings Made in Germany have round edges and a high test, therefore ideal to tie a new tippet to the leader whithout shortening the leader like you would with a new direct knot connection. Simply tie the ring to the thin end of the leader with a clinch knot and the new piece of tippet to the ring likewise. Very important becomes a ring connection when you want to tie a Fluorocarbon tippet to a Nylon leader. Knotting both materials directly together ends usually up in a weak knot, because Fluorocarbon is harder than Nylon and cuts it.
