LOOP ONS, Loop on Junctions or Loop Connectors are a great way to connect leaders or backing with the fly line. With a loop connection the leader or the fly line/shooting head itself can be exchanged easily, without the need to cut or to tie a new knot. Because this is usually most feasible, more and more flylines and shooting heads already come with loops on one or even both ends. These welded loops though can break with time and not all are equipped with a loop. That's when these useful braided loops come handy. Simply insert the line end into the loop-on and pull the small safety plastic sleeve down to its end. We recommend to secure the loopon with a drop of superglue otherwise the sleeve and without it the loop-on-junction itself can slip off.
The Mountain River braided-loops are available in 3 sizes for any fly line and have a high test/breaking strength of 30lbs in sizes #S and #M and 50lbs in size #L. You can shorten the braided loop end as well as the already fitted silicone sleeve as required.
