Description

The most effective way to learn flyfishing or to extend and perfect your knowledge is to do a private class, because this type of class is most intense and most individual. It does not matter to us if you just want to start with fly fishing or already have knowledge since a private fly fishing course is tailored to your  p e r s o n a l  learning needs and priorities!
Depending on the season and your focus the upper Isar here on site as well as other top fly waters in the area or perhaps also your home water offer the right terrain. The entire duration of the class as well as the start time is determined by yourself in consultation with us or you follow our recommendation. Incidentally, you can also combine a private class with a guiding or divide your whole lesson into units on several appointments what makes no difference in terms of price.

For beginners: If you want to start fly fishing we are happy to provide the lesson's content and background, so you get a sound basis - two course days are recommended in that case. In theory and practice we will impart you step by step the skills necessary for a successful entry into the fascinating world of fly fishing, of course right on the water as well. The topics include gear & equipment, entomology & fly imitation, intensivecasting training, tactics & methods, fly presentation, fighting & landing a fish, useful knots and much more...
And if you just want to get a taste of fly fishing, you only book one class day. You will then not only get a brief theoretical overview but you will also learn in practice the basics of fly casting and with some luck catch your first fish on fly. On this experience you can objectively decide whether this type of fishing is the right thing for you and upskill well if favored. But  w a t c h  o u t  - fly fishing is highly  a d d i c t i v e !

For the advanced: here you can also specify the focus(es) of the instruction, depending on the scope of your interests, i.e. what you want to realize, you should book one or more class days.
From the fundamental improvement of your basic casting technique (because faults have crept in) and the correct mending of the fly line to special presentation casts, the right execution of anchor casts (roll cast/switch cast) with a one- or two-handed rod, or casting and presenting the fly in narrow space to the learning of the double haul there is a broad field of activity in terms of casting and presentation techniques.
Instruction and training will happen not only on the meadow but also practice-oriented on the water and on request the casting education can also include a video analysis to visualize the progress.

However in your individual class fly casting does not have to be the core theme alone, many of our customers prefer a combination of precedent casting training on the meadow and following practical application on the water. Just as well a casting lesson can also be combined with a half day guiding. In addition you can ask questions of theoretical and/or practical nature during your lesson, such as fly patterns or equipment and their use as well as many other things that are related to the topic e.g. such as tying a special knot. Andy Pfirstinger has the right answers and will show you how it's done!
Likewise, your private class can be designed according to your target fish with an appropriate choice of water or as a solid training for an upcoming fishing trip to a destination even far away, the prospects of a private fly fishing class has  h a r d l y  a n y  l i m i t s !

You just want to improve your casting technique in the first place? No problem, a clean training on the meadow per hour is also possible, please check our offer Casting Clinic.
